The UMLA strives to create and live by a higher code of ethics. We expect our members to follow these guidelines and to raise the quality of their services to customerss. When you choose a lender who is a member of the UMLA, you can be sure that they will act in your best interest with a high level of integrity.

We have provided the following services to help you know what you should expect from your lender.

File a Complaint about a Lender
Consumer Complaints: The goal of the UMLA is to educate and promote fair and ethical play in the industry. If you feel a lender in the State of Utah has been unethical or acted illegally and would like to report an infraction or file a complaint please try one of the following options. 1. Call the UMLA hotline at 303-0700 or 800-530-3691. A representative from the UMLA ethics committee will respond to you within 48 hours. 2. Email the UMLA at complaint@UMLA.org and a committee member will respond. 3. Send a formal complaint to the State of Utah, Department of Real Estate. You can obtain a form by going to the website http://www.commerce.utah.gov/dre/complaint.html Thank you for your interest in ethical lending.
